fluid and abstract images of green tea plants moving beside us and a huge traditional japanese lunch are fragmented memories before visiting this 3rd generation weaving mill.

located in the shizuoka prefecture their expertise lies in dobby wovens, mainly made of cotton. a wide range of fabrics is deeply rooted in traditional japanese culture, evoking a nostalgic feeling. while at the same time allowing the observer to dwell not in the past, but in the present moment.

light to medium weight fabrics are pleasant to wear, especially in the warmer months. their artisanal creations sometimes appear to float when worn, almost not touching the body, offering comfort and protection to the wearer.

from a distance you may see simple patterns, but getting closer and delving deeper into the cloths, makes you realise their complexity.

the fabrics white light blue fine tribal checklight blue dark navy dobby check, as well as the brown sashiko cloth serve as visual references.
